Crystals have a fundamental role in modern technology. The development of new crystals with properties adapted to different applications, or the improvement of the existing ones based on new concepts, constitutes a major component of current research on crystalline materials. Thus, their mechanical, structural, chemical, electronic, magnetic, and optical properties are of great interest for various specific applications.
The section will concentrate on theoretical and experimental characterization of crystalline materials by different techniques, and their applications in different domains, focusing on (but not limited to) the following materials:
Horia Alexandru, University of Bucharest, Faculty of Physics, Romania
Lucian Gheorghe, National Institute for Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics, Romania
Daniel Vizman, Vest Univ of Timisoara, Romania
Madalin Bunoiu, Vest Univ of Timisoara, Romania
