6. Advanced ceramics: synthesis, properties, and applications

Scope
The section "Advanced ceramics: synthesis, properties, and applications" is devoted to understanding of basic and applied science behind new ceramic-based multifunctional materials for their successful innovative use. The section encourages submissions on oxide and non-oxide materials, on their synthesis and processing aspects by conventional and unconventional technologies, and on their new applications. Understanding of properties such as dielectric, superconducting, thermoelectric, magnetic, mechanical and other properties in ceramic materials as well as the relationship between properties and synthesis, processing or applicative aspects are of interest.
